About Dr Cheng

A GP who gets to know your whole story

Dr Lisa graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2012. Originally born and bred in Perth, she made the bold choice to move across the country to pursue a career in medicine. Having worked across the Austin, Northern and Echuca health networks, she has gained experience across paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, rehabilitation, plastic and reconstructive surgery, vascular surgery and emergency medicine.

Dr Lisa enjoys all aspects of general practice, particularly women's and children's health. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their unique health story, and believes there can be different approaches for different people to support overall wellbeing. She sees improving health outcomes as a shared decision made together with patients, and looks forward to collaborating with each patient and their family so everyone stays informed, comfortable and actively involved in every medical decision.

Although raising two young boys takes up most of her week, Dr Lisa likes to dabble in craft, sewing and dress-making. She also leads a toddler playgroup and always enjoys catch-ups with friends over board games, a good meal or a game of badminton.
